Skyline Transport Group is expanding to Austin, Texas

Same fleet, same carrier standard, a new brokerage desk in Texas. What is coming to Austin, what stays the same, and who we are hiring.

Since 2004, Skyline Transport Group has run its own trucks out of Vancouver, Washington and Sacramento, California, hauling refrigerated, flatbed and dry van freight in all 48 states. Next, we are bringing that model to Austin, Texas. We are building a brokerage desk there, backed by the same fleet and the same carrier standard, and we will share the office details once the lease is signed.

Why Austin

Austin sits on Interstate 35, the main north-south freight corridor through Texas, running from the border crossing at Laredo through San Antonio and Austin to Dallas-Fort Worth and on into the central United States. Houston, the Gulf ports and the rest of the Texas Triangle are a day’s drive away.

Texas freight already runs through our network. A desk in Austin puts people who price and cover those lanes in the same market and the same time zone as the shippers and carriers who run them.

What does not change

  • Our own fleet first. More than 150 tractors and trailers of our own, family owned since 2004. If your load fits our equipment, it moves on our truck with our driver.
  • Every brokered carrier is verified at every tender: authority, insurance and identity. Loads are never re-brokered.
  • One accountable person on every load, and 24/7 dispatch at (360) 719-5660.
  • Our Vancouver, Washington and Sacramento, California offices keep running exactly as they do today.

What is new

A brokerage desk in Austin, with account executives who own their shipper relationships and carrier sales representatives who cover freight behind our own fleet. Same tools, same verification standard, same expectation that the person who quoted your lane is the one who fixes it.
