Freight agent program: bring your book to Skyline
You already run your freight from the first call to delivery. Keep running it your way, under Skyline’s authority, and hand us the back office: billing, collections, carrier pay and factoring. You also get our in-house TMS and CRM, and help marketing your office.

- MC-844491: the authority you run under
- 150+: our own tractors and trailers, since 2004
- TMS + CRM: built in-house, yours to use
- Back office: billing, collections, carrier pay, factoring
Feel like an owner, not just another agent
Same book, a better seat.
- Your seat: The old way: Just another agent on a brokerage’s list. At Skyline: Run your office like an owner, not just another agent.
- Trucks: The old way: No trucks behind your quotes, so every load is bought on the open market. At Skyline: Our own trucks behind your quotes: more than 150 tractors and trailers since 2004.
- Software: The old way: Rented software and spreadsheets. At Skyline: A robust TMS and CRM we built in-house.
- Your split: The old way: A take-it-or-leave-it split. At Skyline: A competitive split, set out in writing.
- Back office: The old way: You chase invoices and front carrier pay. At Skyline: We bill, collect and pay your carriers, with factoring, so you are not fronting carrier pay.
- Growth: The old way: On your own to find new shippers. At Skyline: Marketing support to help you win new shippers.
- Support: The old way: A ticket number when something goes wrong. At Skyline: People who know your name, your shippers and your book. You are not a number here.
You run the freight. We run the back office.
For independent agents and small brokers with shippers and freight moving every month.

How the program works
Your shippers, your carriers, your loads. Skyline is the authority you run under and the back office behind you.
You run your freight
- Find and keep your shippers
- Price and book the loads
- Cover them with our own trucks or your carriers
- Track every load to delivery and take care of your customers
Skyline runs the back office
- Your loads move under our authority, MC-844491
- We invoice your shippers, collect payment and pay your carriers
- Factoring, so you are not fronting carrier pay
- A credit check on each new shipper before its first load
What you get
You know how to move freight. Here is what we put behind you.
Our authority
Skyline is asset-based: more than 150 tractors and trailers of our own since 2004, reefer, flatbed and dry van. When a load fits our equipment, it can move on our truck with our driver, so you have capacity to sell beyond the open market. Run your loads under Skyline Transport Grp Inc, MC-844491, a family-owned carrier and brokerage since 2004.
Billing, collections and factoring
We invoice your shippers, collect, pay your carriers and check each new shipper’s credit before its first load. Carriers on your loads are set up in our system so we can pay them.
Our TMS and CRM
Your loads, shippers and pipeline in our in-house TMS and CRM, plus load board access through Skyline’s DAT account.
Marketing support
We help you market your office to new shippers. Run it like an owner: Your office, your shippers, your way of working. You will feel like an owner here, not just another agent on a list. A competitive split: We are competitive in how we split with agents, and your split is set out in your agent agreement, in writing, before you sign.
Who it is for
- Cradle-to-grave agents: you sell the freight, cover it and see it through to delivery.
- Independent agents and small brokers with shippers and freight moving every month.
- Brokers who would rather run under Skyline’s authority than carry their own back office.
- Teams: bring the people who work your book. Each person signs what their role needs.
New to freight? This program is for agents who already run a book. See our open sales roles in Austin.
How to join
Your current agreement is read before anything is signed.
- Apply. Tell us about your business and your book, as ranges. No customer names and no documents.
- Intro call. A person from our team calls to talk through your book, your lanes and how you work. If a non-compete, non-solicit or confidentiality clause applies, we read your current agreement first.
- Agreement. We confirm which of your accounts are open, meaning not already Skyline customers, and check their credit. Your agent agreement puts your accounts and your terms in writing.
- Setup and first loads. We verify your identity, set up your TMS, CRM and DAT access, and you start moving freight under Skyline’s authority.
Questions agents ask
Can my loads run on Skyline’s own trucks?
Yes. Skyline is an asset-based carrier with more than 150 tractors and trailers of its own, reefer, flatbed and dry van. If a load fits our equipment, it can move on our truck with our driver, so you have capacity to offer your shippers beyond the open market.
How does the split work?
It is competitive, and it is set out in your agent agreement, in writing, before you sign anything.
I have a non-compete or non-solicit with my current program. Can I still talk to you?
Yes. Tell us in the application. We read your current agreement before any offer, and we never ask anyone to breach one. Please do not send customer lists, pricing or anything else your current agreement treats as confidential.
Who books and covers the loads?
You do. You run your freight from start to finish: pricing, booking, covering, tracking and taking care of your customers. Skyline handles the back office and gives you the tools.
How is pay set?
In your agent agreement. Terms depend on your book, and we go through them on the intro call.
How are the accounts I bring protected?
In writing. Before you sign, we confirm which of your accounts are open, meaning they are not already Skyline customers, and your agent agreement records the accounts you bring.
Do you train new agents?
This program is for agents who already run freight. We set you up on our TMS, CRM and DAT, and you take it from there. New to freight? Our open sales roles in Austin are the place to start.
Do I have to work from a Skyline office?
No. You run your office from wherever you work. Skyline has offices in Austin TX, Vancouver WA and Sacramento CA.
